By methods of biomechanics and physiology,the paper studies four tactics in 500 m and 1000 m competitions of mans kayaking.The article compares the four tactics through measuring speed,power,paddling amplitude,oxygen uptake,oxygen demand and heart rate of each tactic.Results show that the 4th tactic is the most efficient in biomechanical and energetic features.
