论契诃夫作品的标题艺术

On the titles of Chekhov’s works

标题是点睛的艺术。它与作品的艺术世界、情节、主人公、讲述形式以及贯穿整部作品的作者情调都有着密切的关系。本文从象征、反语、双关、成语的活用这四个方面分析了俄罗斯语言大师契诃夫的标题艺术，并指出掌握契诃夫的标题艺术对于我们理解作品的主题思想具有重要意义。

The title is the key point of a work. It is closely related to the content, the plot, the main characters, the way of narration and the sentiment which runs through the whole work. This paper is to analyze the techniques adopted by Chekhov, a great master of language, in producing titles of his works from four respects: use of symbolization, irony, pun and flexible use of idioms, and this article is to point out that mastery of these techniques is of great importance for us to have a good understanding of his works.
