论sports汉译名词引入的必要性和可行性

Necessity and Suitability on Using Chinese Word in Sound Translating Way For Sports

目前“体育”名词在使用上存在泛化或扩大化的问题。本文通过对“体育”的本质属性和造成泛化使用的原因分析，提出了Ｓｐｏrｔs名词汉译的构想和引入体育理论研究领域的必要性，并阐述了对我国体育和Ｓｐｏｒｔｓ事业发展的理论和实践意义。

The word 'physical education' has appeared in China for about one century. Nowadays, the Word 'physical education' has been used expansively in China. The word 'P. E. ' describes both 'P. E. ' and 'Sports'. The author thinks the reason follows: 1 In 1950'words were mistranslated. For example, 'physical culture', 'sports', 'P. E. ' etc, all of them were trans- lated into 'P. E.'. 2 Body movement of P. E. and sports is considered as a common character. 3 P. E. teaching of school turned into athletic training for Olympic champion. 4 The word 'P. E.,' is used incorrectly in TV program, newspapers, magazines etc. 5 The theory research of P. E. is backward. The author considers that the most important reason is there is no suitable Chinese Word to express Sports correctly nil China. For this reason, the author tries to use sound translating Way to create a new word for sports. The significance of new word for sports, which translated by sound, follows: 1 It is not suitable to use English directly in articles in China. 2 It can not show the character of sports to use Chinese word of athletics and body movement. 3 Citizen can realize the character of P. E., Which maybe encourage them to participate in activities for their health. 4 It will benefit for reform of P. E. teaching of school and raising the health level of pupils and students.
