动机心理是心理学研究的一个新领域，有关研究在本世纪取得了长足的进步。本文通过对西方百年来动机问题研究的回顾，阐明动机问题研究的历史发展进程和脉络，探讨各个历史时期动机问题研究的主要内容和特点。

Abstract Motivation research is a new area of psychology. It has made great progress in this century. Reviewing the motivation research in the West during the past one hundred years, this paper tries to clarify the historical development and principles of the 20th century's motivation research and study its main content and features of every historical period so as to serve the next century's motivation research.
