本文旨在探讨西方现代主义文学大师乔伊斯的美学思想的发展过程，论述其美学体系的基本内涵，并揭示其美学原则与其创作实践的辩证关系。文章以乔伊斯的日记、随笔、文论和小说为依据，系统地阐述了亚里斯多德、阿奎那以及维科对乔伊斯美学思想的影响，并分析其现代主义审美意识形成的原因。

This paper is intended to trace the development of James Joyce's aesthetics, discuss the essence of hisaesthetic system and disclose the dialectic relationship betWeen his aesthetic principle and his literary practice.Based on Joyce's diaries, sketches, icicles and novels, the paper analyzes the influences of Aristotle, Aquinas andVico on Joyce's writing while revealing the cause of the formation of his own Modernist aesthetic concept.
