大学新生英语营实践报告——新生入学心理调整及学习技巧强化训练

A report on English camps for English major freshmen

本文报告北外应用英语学院９６、９７级新生英语营新生入学心理调整及学习技巧强化训练实践结果。新生入学有“入学诧异”现象，包括陌生茫然感、学习上的焦虑感和人际交往上的心理障碍等。新生英语营根据人文教育理论和以学生为中心的教学思想，以全英语交际的“封闭”形式对新生进行为期３周的强化训练。本报告包括设计理论、实施方案、实践结果。

Abstract This paper is a project report of two English Orientation Camps held at Beijing Foreign Studies University in September 1996 and 1997. The Camp was designed on a humanistic and learner_centred communicative approach and offered a 60 hours of “English only” training, in an attempt to overcome “entrance shocks”. The paper discusses the theoretical basis of the design, the implementation of the theory in camp activities and feedback from the campers. It suggests that such an orientation camp prepares freshmen well for their college life.
