人是生活于一定社会结构中的存在物。人的发展问题实质上是人和社会关系的问题。《社会转型与人的现代重塑》在关于市场经济与人的发展的研究中 ,破除了传统的人与社会两极对立的思维方式 ,以现代社会转型为背景 ,对人的发展作了历史的考察 ,从而论证了社会主义市场经济及人的发展的必然性、合理性 ,指明了社会转型与人的现代重塑是现代化进程的两个方面。
