摘要 本文探索了基于WWW创造一种跨文化学习环境以满足中西方教育工作者需求所展示的远景;调查了远程教育和教学技术是如何为国际上已广为应用的WWW媒体课件发展提供理论框架的,并且讨论了这些理论框架存在的可能缺点。文章还论及了创造一种以WWW为基础的教育传输的教育学框架的可能性,这种框架主要是针对预期学习效果,而非由特定教学哲学所提供的理论。这样,它既增加了WWW作为一种教学媒体的期待性,又有助于为学生提供一个有效的学习环境。 This paper seeks to provide a perspective on the way that the World Wide Web may be used to create a cross-cultural learning environment that satisfies educators both in China and in the West. It investigates how both distance education and instructional technology have provided frameworks for the development of WWW-mediated courseware which have been applied internationally, and identifies possible shortcomings of these frameworks. It argues that it is possible to create a pedagogical framework for WWW-based educational delivery that is focussed on desired learning outcomes, rather than those supplied by specific teaching philosophies . This both enhances the desirability of the WWW as a teaching medium, and helps provide an effective learning environment for the student.
