The Agricutural Development in Tujia Area in Song Dynasty

宋代是土家族发展过程中一个重要的历史阶段。这时期由于土家族地区人口增加、先进的生产工具和生产技术得到采用、地方官员重视农业生产、中央政府对土家地区实行优惠政策，土家族地区的农业得到迅速发展，表现为粮食产量的增加、酿酒业的兴起、农产品种类的增多。农业的发展又带来了手工业的进步。

Abstract Song dynasty saw a great leap in the development of the Tujia people, during which the Tujia population has been increased, advanced fools and technologies have been utilized, the local officials paid great attentions to the agricultural production and the central government has granted favorable policies to the Tujia area, which has certainly enhanced the area's agricultural development displayed by the increase of the crops and brewers, and the multiplication of agricultural products which brought about the acceleration of craftsmanship and the prosperity of trading and education.
