Lots of folk tales about the ancient nationality “the Bo people” and its kingdom, which was located before the Ming Dynasty in certain parts of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces, are well known in southwest China. These tales can be divided into two categories: one is about the origins of the Bo people's unique customs, like the cliff suspended burial and “have teeth pulled out” etc.; the other is about the legend of the Bo people's three Ha kings during the Ming Dynasty.
