道教中老子、庄子地位差异辨析

The difference between Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi in Daoism

道家和道教是根本不同的两回事 ,但自道教依托《道德经》产生以来 ,两者又有了不解之缘。有趣的是 ,道家两位著名代表人物老子和庄子以及他们的著作在道教中的地位截然不同 :老子被极力推崇 ,庄子倍受冷落。究其原因 ,一是道教自身的特点使然 ,二是老、庄本人及各自学说差异所致 。

矰aoist school (a school of thought in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods)had nothing to do with Daoism (one of the chief religions in China).But since the founding of Daoism which was based on The Way and Its Power, Daoist school and Daoism had been closely connected.Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi,the two leading exponents of Daoist school,and their works were not equal in status,Lao Zi was highly praised while Zhuang Zi was left out in the cold.The characteristics of Daoism,the differences between the two figures, and the necessity of the ruling classes account for this phynominon. 〔
