The Writing Activities of the Youmu Literati in the Qing Dynasty and Their Influence

学人游幕的兴盛与清代学术的发达有着非常密切的关系。游幕不仅使清代学人有机会接触和利用各地的图书资料 ,而且对他们的历史地理研究和诗歌创作等 ,也有重要影响。游幕学人还在一些学者型官员的组织下 ,编纂出一系列大型经史著作 。

The academic flourishing in the Qing Dynasty is closely related to the existence of the great number of Youmu literati. Youmu not only enabled the literati to refer easily to local collections of books and source materials,but also left important impact on their scrutiny in history and geography as well as on their poetric creation. Furthermore,the Youmu literati were organized by the learned officials to compile great collections of classics and historical works,consequently becoming those who undertook the great task of sorting and integrating the past academic fruits.
