在现代条件下 ,社会学不仅需要深化已经形成的范畴 ,而且需要制定新的范畴。本文从社会代价的本性、特征及其减少代价的途径等方面 ,论述了社会代价是一个社会学范畴 ,而且应当把它纳入社会学范畴体系中 ,这对于进一步补充、深化和丰富社会学范畴体系 ,具有明显的科学意义。这是一个尚未引起社会学理论工作者普遍关注的课题。
