电大开展高等职业教育浅论

A Discussion on Providing Professional Education in TV Universities

高等职业教育是高等层次的职业技术教育。它作为一个既不陈旧、又不新鲜的教育话题,近几年来却日益受到电大人的青睐,并准备将其作为电大教育事业发展的一个新的增长点,足见其“魅力”无穷。目前,经国家教育部同意,黑龙江、湖北、江苏、山东4省电大的10所分校以及沈阳电大已被确定为1998年成人高职教育试点学校,这昭示着高职教育已向我们走来。对此,我们将作何反应,采取什么对策?笔者谈几点浅陋看法,藉以抛砖引玉。

10 branch schools of 4 provincial TV universities (Heilongjiang, Hubei, Jiangsu, Shandong) as well as Shenyang TV University were designated as the pioneer schools to launch a pilot project of professional education for adult learners. The courses in this field are at the same ad educational as the degree-·46· courses run by TV universities.The objective of the latter is to turn out qualified personnel in localities for the country and town and township enterprises, small or medium-sized, while that of the former is to train workers and technicians at an advanced level, who are qualified and efficient for daily practice. It is obvious that the two lay particular emphasis on different aspects in their goals of teaching. So there exist great differences in their curriculums, teaching methodologies and types of teacher, etc.To make the project successful, TV universities must meet the requirements of professional education, intensifying the specialities of professionalism. In addition to a full exploitation of their advantages, they still have to take steps to make up for their defects, to understand the significance of professional education, to break all restrains of traditional concepts of education and schooling modes. They must make explorations in teaching paradigm and administrative work in professional education, in standardizing the teaching and learning procedure, in syllabus designing and teacher training, in reinforcing the cooperation between schools and enterprises to set up a good foundation for joint sponsorship.
