In answering the questions ″What is socialism and how are we to build socialism″, Deng Xiaoping, from the perspective of negation, points out that socialism is to eliminate all types of misunderstandings concerning the meaning of socialism, and at the same time, from a viewpoint of affirmation, gives a deep-going exposition of socialism′s essential feature and basic principle and consequently has greatly developeds cientific socialism in both theory and practice.
