Seeking the Rational Way of Development:An Analysis of the Dilemma in China's Development

在世界现代化的宏观背景下，中国的发展面临着两难矛盾。近现代以来，这个矛盾一直困扰着致力于探索中国发展之路的中国人，许多关于发展和现代化的重大争论都由此产生。就现代而言，落后国家在发展形式上跨越了资本主义阶段，不等于在内容上已经解决了发展的难题和矛盾。我们所面临的是，现代化的任务尚未完成，后现代的问题又已逼到面前，这就要求我们必须在充分利用西方现代化经验和成果的基础上，努力寻求一条更为合理的现代化道路。

China's development has been facing the contradictory dilemma in the context of the world modernization. The contradiction has been troubling many Chinese people who have been seeking the way of China's development in modern history, and it has led to many major disputes about development and modernization in China. China has been under the situation as all late developing countries: the work of modernization has not been completed, but the problems of postmodernization have showed up. Under this particular situation, we have to try a more rational way of modernization on the basis of taking fully use of the experiences and achievements of western modernization.
