Li Ta-Chao started the localization of Marxist literary theories in China.His entreaty for artists to develop 'Strong Shoulders for Moral Principle and Crafty Hand for Great Articles' was an exploratory practice of sinicization of Marxist theories on art and literature,which will still offer enlightenment for present efforts in the construction of Marxist literary with Chinese characteristics.
