Cross Century Choice for the Modernization of Archives Management

档案管理现代化是当前档案界面临的重大课题之一。在新技术革命的冲击下，我国档案界面临着现代技术设备大量引入、新型介质不断产生、管理人员素质偏低、管理手段落后等挑战。为此，应从提高档案工作者的业务素质、思想素质、更新管理手段、加快现代化装备的应用等方面迎接这种挑战。

Abstract Modernization of archives management is one of the great tasks that the whole archives society has to deal with in the new century.Under the impact of the new technology revolution,the field of archives is facing many challenges as well as problems.For example,a great deal of advanced equipment is being introduced into the management of archives,and new forms of archives media are being used along with the traditional ones.However,there is insufficient number of high quality staff in the field,and there is lack of effective means of management.Given the current situation of archives management in our country,the present article proposes some recommendations for improving the efficacy of archive management.The specific measures include speeding up the renewal of the existent equipment,using incentives to motivate the staff and uplift their professional level.
