AbstractThe growing flax and linen industry began to take shape in Dunhuang area in the late- Tang and the Five Dynasties from Dunhuang MSS. Naw we still have not found out about the situation of growing cotton and. weaving cotton industry. The cotton cloths were in common use in Dunhuang area then. They also served as equivalent in the econmic activies of buying and selling, borrowing or lending money and payment.
