An Initial Inquiry into Social Type Transformation of Quanzhou during Song and Yuan Dynasties and its Cultural Characteristic

宋元泉州是通过对外开放，开展中外经济文化交流，推动地方社会发展的一个典型。对外开放在农业经济的土壤中培育出港口经济之花，促进了工商文化与港口文化的繁荣，推动了工商社会与开放社会的形成。这种社会转型既体现了宋元泉州地方社会在古代中国农业社会中的特殊性，也揭示了区域社会研究在整体社会研究中的重要性。

During Song and Yuan Dynasties, Quanzhou was a typical case where the development of regional society was promoted by opening up to the outside world. With opening up to the outside world, the flower of port economy was cultivated out of the soil of agricultural economy;and the prosperity of industrial and commercial culture as well as port culture was accelerated; and the formation of Industrial and commercial society and open society was promoted. this social type transformation not only gave expression to the particularity of Quanzhou regional society during Song and Yuan Dynastics in agricultural society of ancient China, but also revealed the importance of studying regional society in the entire social study.
