Abstract According the author,the present Southeast Asian financial crisis does not have significant influence on Indian economy owing to the fact that India has a different macro economic environment,has adopted a different economic policy from those of Southeast Asian countries and has less degree of dependence on the international economy than the Southeast Asian countries do.
