Abstract The superiority of the tourist resources in Shennongjia lies in the high quality ecological environment and the rich variety of the natural resources,but they lack concentration and uniqueness,which makes the tourists unable to see their complete physiognomy in a short time, thus reducing the attractivess of the scenic spots.In view of this,the author makes the following suggestions to develop and utilize the tourist resources in Shennongjia:1.paying attention to the entirety,completeness and coordination of the development;2.showing the essential features of the tourist resources clearly and composing these features around a certain theme so as to make up for the weak points and strengthen the superior points;3.stringing together all the elements of the scattered resources to form the “landscape museum” in central China.
