Rozanov was not ouly a writer of unique style, but a critic with distinguished achievements . He was against the existing 'literary mode ' and popular cultural fiavour; he advocated that writers should seek for the 'handwriting quality ' before the invention of printing. Rozanov's comments on Dostoevsky laid the foundafion for Dostoevsky's being a religious philosopher and his analysis on Gogol peved the road for formalist text analysis. The works of Live in Solitude and Folling Leaves demonstrate Rozanov's literary achivevments and thinking.
