In a world of knowledge economy and fierce market competition, with the daily upsurging of the appeal to protecting intellectual Property (IP), different countries have promulgated various kinds of laws and regulations to serve this purpose . It has become extremely important to understand properly the relevant foreign drafted documents on IP protection and to effectively introduce to foreigners the practice and achievements of IP protection in China. This article is an attempt to give tha readers some inspiration by analyzing the language features and translation approaches to an IP text in English.
