试论英译中文年度报告中的一些问题

On the translation of an annual business report from Chinese into English

彼得·纽马克根据语言功能理论提出了语义翻译和交际翻译这两种翻译方法。本文根据红马克的交际翻译理论从文本格式、句段组织编排、术语和文化词项的翻译这三个方面论述了在英译中文年度报告中存在的一些问题并提出了一些可能的处理方法。

According to the functional theory of language, , Peter Newmark has proposed two important approaches to transla tion - semantic approach and communicative approach. Based on his communicative approach, the paper discusses from the perspectives of text-type convention, paragraph and culture-specific terms some of the problems a translator will encounter when translating an annual business report from Chinese into English. Some possible solutions to the problems are also recommended in the paper.
