也谈ZEUGMA的语法范畴与修辞范畴——与邵志洪同志商榷

A refutation of zeugma: grammatical category vs rhetorical category

本文是对邵志洪同志“ＺＥＵＧＭＡ—语法范畴与修辞范畴”一文的质疑。邵文认为ＺＥＵＧＭＡ存在着两种不同的研究范畴：语法范畴和修辞范畴，两者是不相容的。笔者则认为，ＺＥＵＧＭＡ就是ＺＥＵＧＭＡ，它指的是语法和修辞学上所研究的一种词与词之间的搭配现象，根本不存在什么语法和修辞范畴；邵文所说的语法和修辞范畴实际上是语法和修辞学家从不同的角度出发对ＺＥＵＧＭＡ这种搭配现象所持的不同观点。我们只有把ＺＥＵＧＭＡ的语法和修辞研究的范畴统一、而不是对立起来。

This paper is presented as a counterargument of a paper by Shao Zhihong. Instead of artificially dividing ZEUGMA into two incompatible categories — Grammatical Category and Rhetorical Category, this paper argues that ZEUGMA is ZEUGMA, there is only one ZEUGMA in both Grammar and Rhetoric. It is a construction by which a word is made to govern or modify two or more words, especially when properly applying in sense or logic to only one of them, or applying to them in different senses. Despite various opinions of ZEUGMA — acceptable or whatnot, ZEUGMA in GRAMMAR and in RHETORIC should be taken as one unified category and be studied together.
