A Study on the Dissemination of Islam in Khotan at the Beginning of the 11th Century

本文探讨了１１世纪初伊斯兰教在喀喇汗王朝境外的塔里木盆地周边于阗的传播情况。本文不赞同１１世纪初伊斯兰教已广泛流传于阗的说法。本文利用大量资料证明１１世纪初，于阗是以回鹘人为主的政权，当时于阗王族信仰的宗教仍是佛教。因此，以信奉伊斯兰教的葛逻禄人为主的喀喇汗王朝才与于阗人展开了几十年的宗教战争。

This essay mainly discusses the dissemination of Islam in Khotan located on the fringe of the Tarim Basin beyond the boundary of the Karakhan Dynasty. It attempts to question the statement that Islam had been widely spread at the beginning of the 11th century in Khotan, and to testify that it was a kingdom mainly supported by the Hui Hu, and the royal family held Buddhism as its religious belief.Therefore, the Karakhan Dynasty, supported mainly by the karluk who believed in Islam, launched a religious war of several decades against Khotan. This is the continuation of their mutual struggle in the history.
