A Comment on China's 20 Years of Economic Reform

中国经济改革的主题，是从社会主义计划经济转向社会主义市场经济。经过20年的改革，总体上我们已经脱离了传统体制轨道，不再是计划经济国家，而已是一个基本市场化的“准市场经济”国家了。但新经济体制尚未最终确立，经济改革还没完全成功。虽然我们已无后路可退，但前路却仍有不少难关与陷阱。本文立足于20年改革的总体，主要分析中国经济改革的进程、现状和问题，旨在对这场正处于关键时期的伟大改革进行一个概要的评述。

The main problem of China's economic reform is a change from a planned socialist economy to a socialist market economy. Throgh the 20 years of reform,we have basically moved out of the track of a traditional system. And now China is generally a country with a 'quasi-market economy'instead of a contry with a planned economy. But a new economic system has yet to be established and the economic reform has not met with complete success. We have reached a point of no return,to be sure. But there are obstacles and traps of various kinds on our way forward. The essay mainly analyses the progress made in the past 20 years,the status quo and problems in China's economic reform,and aims at a succinct comment on the great reform at its crucial mpment.
