Abstract Indian Buddhist monk Zhikong(1289-1363)was the most outstanding figure in the history of Buddhism cultural exchanges among India,Sri Lanka,China and Korea in 14th century.His religious activities in China were particularly important.When he carried forward the Buddhist cause in Korea,Beijing remained to be his activity centre.The present paper mainly consists of six parts:Ⅰ His arrival time;Ⅱ His route to China;Ⅲ His coming to China alone or with Maha pandita (Another Indian eminent monk);Ⅳ His deed;Ⅴ His Buddhism Thought;Ⅵ Chinese description of his image.
