Abstract Scientific spirit and human spirit constitute the cultural foundation of modern society. However, they are not distinct conceptions to many people. The paper firstly defines them from their cultural origin, pursuing goal, achieving method, etc.. Then, through the reflection on this century's cultural alienation , the author indicates that it is necessary to surpass the horizon of the traditional scientific world view and the human world view, and promote them to be in perfect harmony in order to do away with the cultural crisis.
