What Role the Chinese Government Should Play in Economy Under the System of Sociailst Market Economy?

本文着重探讨了社会主义市场经济体制下我国政府经济职能所处的地位和应发挥的作用。文章首先从历史的角度考察了欧美、东亚市场经济国家政府经济职能的发展变化及其特点，并对传统社会主义计划经济体制下政府经济职能的演变进行了探讨；然后在理论分析的基础上得出了在我国市场经济体制建立和发展进程中政府必须处于主导地位。

Abstract The essay is mainly addressed to the position and the role of our government in economy under the system of the socialist market economy.Firstly,the author made a historical study on the development,changes and the characteristics of the economic role of the governments of the countries in Europe ,America and East Asian which had implemented the market ecomy; furthermore,on the transformations of governmental economic roles under the system of the planned economy of the traditional socialism; lastly,on the basis of thoretical analysis,the author draws a conclusion that the government in China should play a dominant role in the process of establishing and developing the socialist market economy.
