The Orientation of Russian Culture in the Process of Modernization

俄罗斯地处东西方交界，在历史上深受东西方文化影响，这使俄国始终面临着廓清它与东方和西方的关系问题。本文考察了现代化进程中东西方文化在俄罗斯冲撞、交融的历史，分析了三个不同时期的文化论战及文化走向，对俄国的未来文化走向做出有益的选择：在现代化过程中把西方现代文化与本国传统文化整合成新型的文化型态。

Abstract Located at the juncture of the West and the East,Russia is historically profoundly influenced by both Western and Eastern cultures,and it has always been confronted with the necessity to clarify its relation to the West and the East.This paper examines the history of cultural conflicts and assimilation between the East and the West in modern Russia,analyzes the cultural debate and orientation in the three different ages and has reached a valuable conclusion about the future orientation of Russian culture,that is,in the process of modernization,Russia must combine traditional national culture with modern Western culture to form a new culture.
