Abstract This article first gives a review of the study of foreign legal systems,then deals with some current problems,namely,the deficiency of microstudies,the lack of studies of cultural backgrounds,the insufficient use of materials,the oversimplified study methods,and the lack of publishers for academic writings.The article suggests that we attach importance to the collecting,arrangement and translation of basic historical materials about the study of foreign legal systems,pay more attention to native problems and try to improve the scholars academic accomplishment.
