Abstract This article reviews the most remarkable developments in public international law with emphasis on the judicial settlement of international disputes.It is presented in three sections:1.Commentaries on 12 cases on the docket of ICJ;2.The operation of 2 ad hoc international criminal courts established by the United Nations;3.The proposed standing international criminal court under discussion.In addition,this article also examines the developments of codification and progressive development of international law through the work of International Law Commission.
