On the Important Trends in Africa's Development

冷战后，世界形势的深刻变化，使非洲受到巨大冲击，政治、经济形势都十分严峻。但近几年来，非洲出现一些积极的重要的发展趋势：和平稳定趋势增强；联合自强发展经济．多方探索符合国情的发展道路；国际地位上升，国际资本开始转向非洲。这些发展趋势．对非洲未来的发展相当有利。然而，非洲困难重重，和平与发展的道路仍将是艰难曲折的。

The in-depth changes in the world situation after the end of the Cold War shocked Africa greatly, bringing to it the very severe political and economic situation. However,in recent years, there appeared some important positive trends in Africa: peace and stabili-ty is strengthened; efforts are being made to develop economy through integration with each other and their own endeavours, and to seek ways of development suitable to their respective national conditions; its international role is on the ascendance, and international capital is beginning to flow into Africa. These trends are most conducive to the future de-velopment of Africa. However, beset with various diffculties, Africa's road to peace and development will still be tortuous.
