摘要 近年来,美国的反移民情绪越来越成为一个引入注目的现象,它不仅将导致美国移民政策30年来的重大变化,而且将造成一系列新的国内和国际矛盾。 一。 Since the making of the Californian Proposition 187 in 1994, anti-immigrant sentiments in America have become an increasingly spectacular phenomenon, leading to the approval of the toughest immigration bill in thirty years by the Congress. In the 1980s, more than in any decade in American history, half of the world's emigrants (nearly ten million) were admitted to America. There are two foci of controversy. First, have the immigrants replaced U. S. citizens in the labor market? Second, have they gained more benefits from the social welfare than U.S. citizens? Both positive and negative answers to the questions could be supported by data. The immigration issue is becoming a subject of heatcd debate in the domestic struggle for power and the source of many new international and domestic tensions.
