密特朗对外政策初析

A PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF MITTERAND'S FOREIGN POLICY

密特朗总统就任五年以来,在对外政策中适应动荡多变的国际形势,力图维系东西方军事均势,恢复东西方和欧洲的缓和局面,促进西欧联合以及发展南北合作,以维护法国的独立进而谋求法国的大国地位。这一政策已取得了一些显著成果,但又有其局限性。

SinceMr.Francois Mitterand took office as the President five years ago,he has adaptedFrance's foreign policy to the tubulent and changing international situation.In order topreserve France's independence and then proceed to seek France's position as a greatnation,he has done everything to maintain the military parity between the East andWest,to restore the detente between the East and West and in Europe and to promote theunity of West Europe and cooperation between the South and North.His policy hasscored some remarkable successes but at the same time has its limits.
