民柬八点建议与当前的柬埔寨形势

DEMOCRATIC KAMPUCHEA'S EIGHT-POINT PROPOSAL AND THE CURRENT SITUATION IN KAMPUCHEA.

民柬八点建议合情合理,切实可行,既体现柬埔寨人民利益,也符合越南人民的根本利益,得到世界大多数国家的支持和欢迎。越南当局顽固拒绝八点建议,说明它根本无意政治解决,而是要以军事手段长期占领柬埔寨。苏联之所以坚决支持越南侵柬,主要是出于全球战略考虑。

The proposal is fair,reasonable andfeasible.It is not only in the interest of the Kampuchean people,but also in conformitywith the fundamental interest of the Vietnamese people,and therefore has won thesupport and praise from the majority of the countries in the world.The Vietnameseautorities' stubborn refusal of the Eight-Point Proposal shows that they have no desirewhatsoever for a political solution and that they intend to perpetuate their occupationof Kampuchea with military means.The Soviet Union firmly supports Viet Nam inits aggression against Kampuchea mainly out of the consideration of its global strategy.
