摘要
我国的外语教学经历了几次大起大落,加上“左”的思潮的干扰和闭关自守、思想僵化的影响,英语教学法研究长期以来进展缓慢。从投入教学的人力、物力和教学所用的时间长度来看。
Based on his teaching experience, the author points out that the habitual way of advancedintensive reading teaching hardly focuses on reading skills but, trying to cover everything, has, toa large extent, failed to achieve its wishful desire. The translation method and lecturing method, oftenadopted in the advanced intensive reading teaching, are rather ineffective and, in the final analysis,a way of cramming. The author therefore calls for a change.
