0.0 内容提要。本文拟对1983年高考英语试卷及其评分标准进行评价,着重评价其中的一则试题,就教于试卷设计人。 1.0 总评。
The article attempts to evaluate the 1983 English examination paper for university recruitment byconsidering a) the ratio between subjective and objective types of questions,b) instructions to the ques-tions, c) the physical appearance of the paper, and d) the marking scale. Multiple-choice questionsare singled out for more detailed discussion, which includes a) the percentage of items in the total score,b) arrangement of answers and distractors, c) criteria for distractors, and d) different marking scales.The central message is that for the sake of fairness it is desirable that entrance examinationsadopt an ever-higher percentage of objective types of questions until they replace all subjective types,hopefully in the not too distant future.
