城市群是区域城市化和城市区域化的必然结果,其本质是区域一体化过程在城市空间形态的表现。城市群具有设施同城化、市场一体化、功能一体化与利益协同化的本质特征。城市群的形成既是居民-厂商主体区位选择基础上集聚扩散的微观过程,又是基于垂直联系的产业演化过程,同时还是基于地方政府制度变迁的过程。

Urban Agglomeration is the result of the urbanization of region and regionalization of city.The nature of Urban Agglomeration is the Urban Spatial projection of regional integration.The essential characters of urban ag- glomeration are facility integration,market Integration,function integration and interest coordination.Its formation is not only the process of agglomeration and dispersal based on the region choice by firm and household,but also the process of industry evolution by vertical linkage.Besides,Institutional Change by local government plays an impor- tant role in the process.
