法是调节社会关系的一种手段,法的精神是维护社会公平、正义的一种体现。和谐社会是一个民主法治、公平正义、诚信友爱、充满活力、安定有序、人与自然和谐相处的社会。构建和谐社会是历史发展的客观规律,是社会文明的重要条件,是人类理想的不懈追求。构建社会主义和谐社会,必须切实推进依法治国的进程,把和谐社会的关系建立在民主法治的基础之上。

Law is one measure of accommodating social relation.The spirit of law is to maintenance social fairness and justice.The harmonious society is a democratic and ruled by law,fair and just,vital,stable and good order,man living harmoniously with the nature society.The constructing a harmonious society is the objective process of history development,the important condition of social civilization and the unremitting efforts of the human ideal.It should promote the process of ruled by law and base the harmonious relation on democratic and ruled by law.
