Lolita is a daydreaming or fantastic novel created by Nabokov, upon which the author tries to project his 'primitive hallucination'. Nabokov makes great efforts to search for a certain state or image in humanity and tends to see it as his 'self'. The novel aims to throw light on a particular individual character, probing into the fantasy and alienation it represents, and exploring mankind's abysmal soul and the mystery of life. In the novel, 'communicating between penetrating minds' is its textual motivation, questioning the nature of life and survival its basic message, and 'beginning with sex, but ending with love ' as its spiritual dimension.
