摘要
本文借助认知语言学的隐喻观 ,对英语语言单位的各个层面 -词、短语到句子结构进行了分析 ,得出隐喻是英语中的普遍现象的结论。除了普遍性 ,英语的隐喻还具有系统性。
Based on the metaphorical view of cognitive linguistics, a brief analysis has been made on all levels of English language units: from words, phrases to sentence structures. It can be concluded that metaphor is a universal phenomenon in the English language. Besides universality, metaphor has also the characteristics of systematicality and conceptuality.
