摘要
语境作为语言表达所依赖的语言知识及蕴含的非语言知识的总和 ,对于文本的理解起着至关重要的作用。因此 ,大学英语课堂上非语言知识的讲解是教学的重要组成部份。本文从语境着笔 ,通过阐述语境对意义的明晰作用、非语言知识即文化因素对语境的明晰作用 ,从而确定大学英语教学中语境教学 。
Context, functioning as the combination of linguistic and non-linguistic knowledge, is crucial in semantic understanding of a text. Thus today's English class-room teaching should indispensably involve the teaching of non-linguistic knowledge, namely, the cultural knowledge of the target language. In this essay, by introducing the notion of context and its positive effects on a text comprehension, the author aims at emphasizing the importance of introducing text-related context, especially non-linguistic context and arousing the cultural awareness from the teachers in their non-majored college English classroom teaching.
