摘要
本文对普通高师院校非英语专业学生 4级阶段大学英语词汇水平进行了多层面、多因素的研究。结果表明 :1)学生的词汇水平起点较高 ,但 4级词汇水平与大纲的要求有很大差距 ;2 )在中学词汇、1- 4级词汇和5 - 6级词汇中 ,1- 4级词汇增幅最大 ,增长率最高 ;3)文科学生的词汇水平显著高于理科学生 ,女生的词汇水平显著高于男生 ;4 )综合语言能力与词汇水平相关较显著 ;5 )汉语水平、年龄与词汇水平呈零相关。
This paper studies the college English vocabulary proficiency of Chinese normal college students of non English major during their band 1-4 stage. The results of the study indicate that 1) these students have a high vocabulary proficiency at the starting point of their college study while there is still a rather big gap between their vocabulary proficiency level and that required by the college English teaching curriculum; 2) among the different stages of vocabulary learning, students achieve the greatest progressive scale and highest growth rate in band 1-4; 3) there is a significant difference in vocabulary proficiency between students of liberal arts and students of science and between female students and male students ; 4) students vocabulary is correlated with their comprehensive language ability, but the correlation is not so distinct; 5) their vocabulary is almost not correlated with their ages and Chinese proficiency.
