Rulin Waishi and Yangzhou Gardens

《儒林外史》中吴敬梓对扬州园林的艺术描绘，不仅为今人研究当时扬州的政治、经济、文化提供了可贵的资料，同时对修复、维护扬州名园古迹有着重要的参考作用。

Wu Jingzhi, depicted artisticly the Yangzhou gardens in his masterbook, Rulin Waishi (儒林外史The Biographies of the Confucian Scholars). His descreption not only offered the precious data forthe political, economical and cultural studies of Yangzhou at that time, but also provided the important references for the repair and Maintainance of the ancient gardens in Yangzhou.
