The Waves , one of Virginia Woolf's masterpieces,is a complicated text of momentary impressions of human life made by six characters through interior monologues. By examining Woolf's impressionist techniques in this novel such as fragmentary memories, evanescent time pieces and the application of light and colours, this critical essay will focus on textural analysis so as to reveal the theme of modern men's aspirations for life, fear of death, cherishing of friendship and perplexity in self\|identification.in the training course.
