Looking forward to Chinese Sci-tech Translation in the 21st Century

中国科技翻译有着优久的传统,特别是自改革开放 20 年以来,中国科技翻译有了飞速的发展和长足的进步。作者根据自己的翻译研究和翻译实践经验并通过检阅中国科技翻译译坛的现状,在列举大量的数据和资料的基础上,展望21 世纪的中国翻译,认为将在下述八个方面发生巨大的变化并产生深远的影响,这便是:翻译理论思想更加丰富,翻译研究阵地更加扩大,翻译人才队伍更加优化,翻译组织机构更加规范,翻译基本条件更为改善,翻译观念会有所更新,翻译手段将更加现代化。

s China has a long and fine tradition in science and technology translation, especially since the past twenty years, it has witnessed rapid progress. Based on their own experience in the translation study and practice, and by reviewing the present status of science and technology translation undertakings in China, the authors believed that greater progress will be made on the following aspects:in depth theoretical studies of translation, expansion of the forum for translation, improvement of professional translators, standardization of translation organizations, improvement in the basic conditions for translators, modernization of the means of translation, and promotion of academic exchanges and cooperation.
