摘要
本文以江泽民主席在中华人民共和国香港特别行政区成立庆典上的讲话等三篇重要演讲词为基础，讨论了四字词组英译的三种有效的方法：直译法、意译法和综合法。
Three
practical ways, literal translation,free translation and comprehensive translation dealing with
fourchineseCharacter phrases in speeches are discussed in this paper based on the analysis of
the English version of speech by President Jiang Zemin at the party celebrating the establishment
of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and other two
important speeches delivered at the same great historic moment.
